Panic Songs

Since Panic has 2 incredible albums, I want to hear which song is your favorite, why, and which album is your overall favorite!
I have 2 favorite songs: 'Mad as Rabbits' and 'Pas de Cheval'. I love 'Mad as Rabbits' because it sounds like a nonsense song but it actually has a great beat, melody, and cool lyrics! The message that I got out of it was that someone followed the crowd and got hurt (physically/mentally) and became someone they weren't. 'Pas de Cheval' is a little different. The dictionary meaning of 'pas de cheval' (noun, ballet)- a step in which the dancer hops on one foot and paws the ground with the other. (from http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/pas%20de%20cheval ). I'm not exactly sure the meaning I got out of this one, but the melody is awesome!
Does anyone else think that a part in 'When the Day Met the Night' ("Well, he was just hanging around, then he fell in love! And he didn't know how, but he couldn't get out!") sounds like another song?
If you have a favorite Panic song, tell me about it! And listen to 'When the Day Met the Night'.

  1. My favorite song is When the Day Met the Nights because it is very calming and reminds me a bit of the Beatles. I can so not even pick my favorite album because they are both so different and awesome. You are right about the song, that it sounds like another...

  3. My favorite album is their first. It was much much better than the second. In the second they took away the piano and I think that created so much beat and rhythm for the songs. Hopefully they can come back to that in their next album.

  4. matt, when i think of the piano, i specifically think of the song 'but it's better if you do'. i really like that song and i agree that the piano in the background really makes a difference with the beat of the song.
